The Forum for Adult Learning NI, as part of Adult Learners’ Week 2013, hosted a conference to look at the current health of adult learning in Northern Ireland and draw comparisons with the situation in neighbouring regions and countries.

NICVA started delivery of the first ILM social enterprise programme in Northern Ireland this month, when 14 people from a range of organisations joined the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Social Enterprise Support.

Advice NI is facilitating an online discussion to find out how debt is affecting people across Northern Ireland. Everyone is invited to log on to www.voiceni.net and have their say. The eConsultation will run from 19 November to 17 December.
Key findings will then be fed into a wider research project being carried out on behalf of the Centre for Economic Empowerment by NICVA and Advice NI into the nature, extent and impact of both illegal and expensive legal lending in Northern Ireland.

Will to Give, the organisation that promotes legacy giving in Northern Ireland, has launched a will notification service at their conference in Belfast. The WillGiftsNI service will for the first time inform charities who have been named in wills probated in Northern Ireland.
